What is a Steel Folding Door?

A Steel Folding Door consists of multiple steel door panels connected by hinges. Rather than being pushed open or slid aside, the panels fold and stack to one or both sides when opened, thereby creating a wide passageway and maximizing space efficiency.

Folding doors serve as an ideal alternative when a doorway is too large for standard swing doors, or when there is insufficient track space to accommodate a sliding door. They offer flexible operation and are well-suited for larger door openings.

Reinforced Structural Design

Regarding the door leaf framework, we utilize cold-rolled steel sheets. These are precision-cut via laser and reinforced with internal welded ribs to prevent deformation across the large surface areas of the steel panels.

The hinges are heavy-duty, 3D-adjustable units constructed from 304 stainless steel; each individual hinge point supports a load of ≥100 kg and allows for fine-tuning in both vertical and depth dimensions.

The upper guide rail for the folding door is a galvanized steel track with a thickness of ≥2.0 mm, offering exceptional bending strength. It is equipped with dual-bearing nylon rollers that are highly wear-resistant, operate silently, and feature an anti-derailment design.

Usage Guidelines

To maximize the service life of your Steel Folding Door, please refer to our Usage Guidelines Manual. When opening the door, use both hands to gently push the center of the door panel to ensure smooth and steady operation.

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

1. Forceful Pushing or Pulling: The door should be moved at a steady pace to avoid subjecting the hinges and tracks to sudden impact.

2. Hanging Heavy Objects: Do not hang tools, cleaning equipment, or other items on the door panels.

3. Forcibly Obstructing Closure: Doing so may lead to structural misalignment.

4. Rinsing the Tracks with Water: Water accumulation accelerates metal corrosion.
