Routine Cleaning Recommendations

Based on our experience with various projects, while the Medical Swing Door features a simple structure, durability, and a long service life, the high-frequency usage environment typical of hospitals means that—without proper maintenance—it is prone to issues such as sagging, abnormal noises, or improper closure. Upon project handover, we provide a comprehensive guide covering usage and maintenance; additionally, we offer the following basic recommendations for routine cleaning and upkeep:

1. Cleaning Frequency

The door surface should be cleaned at least once daily; for doors located in high-risk areas—such as Infectious Disease wards or ICUs—cleaning 2–3 times daily is recommended.

High-touch points, such as door handles and observation windows, require disinfection once per shift.

2. Selection of Cleaning Agents

General Contamination: Cleaning with 75% medical-grade alcohol is sufficient and will not corrode the surface coating.

Blood and Bodily Fluids: Use a chlorine-based disinfectant solution with an effective chlorine concentration of 500–1000 mg/L.

Stubborn Stains: Use a neutral detergent and warm water; strictly avoid the use of strong acids or strong alkalis.

3. Cleaning Method

We recommend using a microfiber cloth or non-woven fabric to wipe the surface from top to bottom. For crevices—such as door seams and hinge gaps—a small, soft-bristled brush may be used for gentle cleaning.

Do not leave wet cloths draped over or covering the door surface for extended periods.
